Pierce Lawson
Pierce Lawson is a 26-year-old artist from Tullahoma, Tennessee, whose work explores emotion, culture, and everyday life. While he works professionally in banking, painting remains one of his most personal forms of expression. Working with acrylic, pencil, spray paint, and paint markers, Pierce creates layered compositions that move between abstraction and expressionism. His approach favors raw marks, vivid imagery, and instinct over strict convention. Influenced by artists including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, Banksy, Keith Haring, Francis Bacon, and Cy Twombly, Pierce also draws from rap, music, fashion, relationships, family, and his surroundings. For Pierce, painting is a way of translating life into something tangible—personal, imperfect, energetic, and entirely his own.
